Teams must apply for an invite. As much as we would like to have several teams involved, the number of teams must be limited so that all teams have chance to play each other.

How does a team apply for an invite, and when are invites sent out?

Teams will apply via this website once the application process opens. Invites will go out six (6) months prior to the event to allow sufficient time for teams to raise funds for the trip. Keep in mind, that all participants of a team must have a valid passport that does NOT expire until 6 months after the event. Certain criteria must be met prior to applying for an invite. The 2023 age groups for OWBG - EURO is 13U and 16U with age cutoff as of September 1, 2022. The OWBG - Tokyo age groups are TBD.

Do I need a Passport?

All participants traveling from outside of the host country will need a passport to enter. EURO Union countries do not need a passport to travel within the Union.

What about lodging?

Oneworld Bowl Games works with a preferred travel agency, though you may use any travel agency of your choice. All expenses for air travel, lodging, meals, and movement to and from games is the responsibility of each team.

Is this a World Championship?

This is NOT a world championship. Depending on the number of teams participating, a tournament format will be used so that all teams play each other and a overall winner is recognized with a trophy, but by no means makes you a world champion.

Where the number of teams participating is limited, they will be considered exhibition games only. The goal is to provide teams an opportunity to play teams they would not normally play, at the same time provide a friendship and culture experience.

The 2024 Games will be played in Emsdetten Germany at the Salvus-Stadion am Grevener Damm, Grevener Damm 141, 48282 Emsdetten, Germany
